The Dog's Bollox.....
Florida Canine 50,000th To Receive Silicone Testicles
BOCA RATON, FL - The 50,000th.
canine to be neutered and implanted with a solid silicone testicular
implant was performed at the Lund Animal Hospital in Boca Raton, FL.
Dr Scott Lund, DVM performed the three-minute
procedure on an 11 month old Welsh Corgi owned
by Phyllis Richardson of Deerfield Beach.
The company Neuticles of Buckner, MO used the event to introduce a third
Neuticles model called Neuticles ULTRA. There
are two other models which have been on the market for over five years.
"The NeuticlesULTRA has the feel of a marshmallow- its gooshy soft",
said Gregg A. Miller inventor. A $2 million
per occurance product liability insurance protects each implanted pet
with the patented device, he said.
"Absolutely remarkable," praised Mrs.
Richardson who feared her dog named Dingo would not be the same after
the traditional form of neutering.
"Neuticles Ultra are as real as his
originals," she said. "Being the 50,000th. pet
owner to have their pet Neuticled and the first with the new model has
almost made the neutering experience fun," she quipped.
Neuticles are available not only for canines and felines but equine and
bulls as well. "We've even Neuticled a prairie
dog in Kansas, two water buffalo in Colorado- and a colony of rats in
Lousiana," Miller said.
As for Dingo, Richardson said, "He never knew he lost anything
and is a happier dog since he's been neutered with Neuticles."
