I am a Brit who moved with my wife and children from Suffolk 13 years ago. If you are willing to work one can make it in the US and enjoy the life style. We would do it again even knowing the minor pit falls.
One word of warning to those thinking of moving to the US- Make sure you ask all the questions from a reputable & professional visa expert, you can only make good decisions based on true facts and do not take anything for granted. You are also better off using a company in the US because they are here to help after you move over and that is very important for visa renewals.
